"Water Music" will be the theme of the concert of baroque masterpieces by the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra.
The program, dedicated to Ann and Walter Dobie will also feature the Acadiana premiere of a masterwork by Estonian composer Arvo Part , entitled "Fratres." The voices of the University of Louisiana Chamber chorus will be assisting the presentation.
In additional to Handel's "Water Music," and "Fratres," the concert will include selections bv Bach, Vivaldi and Gjeilo's "Dark Night of the soul, based on a medieval text by St. John of the Cross.
