The Office of Catechetics is pleased to announce a Lenten Day of Reflection for all Pastors, DREs, Religion Administrators, Teachers, Catechists, Youth Ministers, and any interested laypersons. This event will feature Dr. Jennifer Morel, STD of the International Institute of Culture and Gender Studies and Father Andrew Schumacher of St. John the Evangelist in Mermentau. The day will begin with a reflection on the historical debate regarding sex and gender. We will then look at the Scriptural understanding of what it means not only to be "created male and female," but finally to be "resurrected as woman and man.” We will conclude with a priestly reflection on the doctrine of Transubstantiation and Eucharistic Miracles in history that provide scientific evidence for the true presence of Christ in the Sacrament. Catechetical and ministerial modes of presenting the Good News will be addressed. The cost is $30 and lunch is included. Teachers & Catechists earn 3 hours, 2 electives. Please register online at the link provided. We hope to see you there!
