This workshop is offered by the Diocese of Lafayette Office of Catechetics and is open to anyone who is interested in knowing more about the teachings of the Church. For those Catechists or Teachers working on their certification, it will count as an elective. For Catholic school teachers, 2 religion hours will be given.

The important issues pertaining life and end of life (abortion, murder and euthanasia) will be reviewed based on Saint John Paul the II's Papl encyclical
Evangelium Vitae (The Gospel of Life). We will also explore what constitutes an intriniscally evil act. We will review the moralities of these modern technoligies from the perspective of the teachings of the Church and Natural Law. Topics examined will include artificial insemination, in vitro fertilization and other alternative technoligies. Registration fee is $10.
