Catholics who share a devotion to St. Joseph, Patron of the Universal Church, gathered at St. Bernard Church in Breaux Bridge to celebrate the upcoming "Year of St. Joseph" declared by Bishop Douglas Deshotel. Members of the group are currently reading the book "Consecration to St. Joseph: The Wonders of Our Spiritual Father" by Fr. Donald H. Calloway, MIC and are following Fr. Calloway's guide to the 33-day Journey to Consecration to St. Joseph. Fr. Calloway is the Vicar Provincial of the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception, Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Mercy Province. If you'd like to be part of this movement, go to consecrationtostjoseph.org. Bishop Deshotel is one of only three Catholic Bishops in the entire country to declare March 2020-March 20221 as the "Year of St. Joseph" in celebration of the 150th anniversary of St. Joseph being named the Patron of the Universal Church.
