Hurricane Laura Funds Presented to Diocese of Lake Charles

Bishop Douglas Deshotel presented a check for $155,000 to Bishop Glen Provost Monday, representing the proceeds of the recent "second collection" to benefit Hurricane Laura victims in the Diocese of Lake Charles.  The check presentation and supply delivery took place at St. Henry Catholic Church in Lake Charles.  Following the presentation, Bishop Deshotel accompanied Bishop Provost, Kim Boudreaux of Catholic Charities of Acadiana, and Sister Miriam of Catholic Charities of Southwest Louisiana on a tour of CCSWLA and the historic Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Bishop Harold Perry, SVD Community Center, which suffered heavy destruction.
