Jubilee of the Word Bible Marathon

Father Michael Champagne and Fete Dieu du Teche hosted the Jubilee of the Word Bible Marathon from Wednesday, April 4 through Divine Mercy Sunday, April 8. More than 300 volunteer lectors, including Bishop Douglas Deshotel, Bishop Emeritus Michael Jarrell and Bishop Glen Provost of the Diocese of Lake Charles read the Bible, cover to cover, non-stop, for 100 consecutive hours, to commemorate the Centennial Celebration of the Diocese of Lafayette.
