Knights of Columbus Donation

Members of the Knights of Columbus from throughout the Diocese of Lafayette recently hosted a "Priest Appreciation Dinner" fundraiser at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist Hall, to say thanks to our Diocesan priests for their faith and dedication. As a result of the event, Knights of Columbus representatives Derek Faust and John Fruge, accompanied by Canon Fruge, presented a $7,000 check to Bishop Douglas Deshotel, which will be used to underwrite the costs of education the 36 young men currently enrolled in seminary studies, representing our Diocese. During the presentation, Bishop Deshotel also blessed a St. John Paul II rosary for Canon. Many thanks to the Knights of Columbus for their generosity!
