Due to Acadiana Catholic’s production and printing schedules, all prayer calendars are typically finalized approximately three to four months in advance. As a result, it does sometimes happen that an included clergyman passes away, or that an included seminarian discerns out of his studies, prior to the actual release of the magazine. Out of loving respect for that individual, his name remains listed on the respective prayer calendar regardless, so that the faithful may be reminded to pray either for the repose of his soul, or for God to grant him future direction in his endeavors.
