The Delegate for Religious serves as a liaison between the bishop and members of religious institutes and communitites within the Diocese of Lafayette. The Office of Religious promotes activities and resources that support consecrated life and all its charisms in serving the Church in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lafayette, Louisiana.
All forms of consecrated life, each according to its characteristics, are called to be in a permanent state of mission, sharing “the joys and the hopes, the griefs and the anxieties of the men of this age, especially those who are poor or in any way afflicted” (Gaudium et Spes, n. 1). (from Pope Francis' homily on the Feast of the Presentation and World Day of Consecrated Life, February 2, 2016)
